The packer is responsible to the shift lead for the safe, continuous and efficient operation of the molded fiber machine to produce a product that meets the standards prescribed.

**Responsibilities**:

- To make bundles tags and ensure proper production dates
- Maintain production flow
- Pick up bundles that have been separated by paddles and place them into shrink wrapper
- Replace stretch wrap roll when needed
- Take bundle off conveyor and place on pallets
- Packaging Associates will learn:

- Shrink wrapper operations
- Stretch wrapper operations
- Pulper operations
- Stacker operations

Qualifications:

- EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Grade 10 or equivalent education; up to and including 3 months of related training or experience
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract 4 digit numbers
- MECHANICAL SKILLS: Basic knowledge of machinery or process required. May be required to stop machine, shut off glue lines, clear jammed cartons
- COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must be able to read, write & understand basic English. Able to communicate effectively, positively interact with coworkers and management and deal effectively & professionally under pressure
- REASONING ABILITY: Job requires the use of established guidelines that are well defined or detailed with little or no choice of action. Must make decisions regarding product quality and acceptability

Located 20 miles east of Los Angeles, The City of Industry, often referred to simply as Industry, is an industrial suburb of Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles County, California.

The plant was built in 1977, manufactures egg cartons, and has approximately 15 employees. This plant was awarded in 2020 certificate of Recognition LA County Waste Water, and a certificate of recognition AQMD.
