**Lumark** has an exciting opportunity for a **Strategic Planner **to join our team in support of a **U.S. Federal Agency** team onsite in Washington, D.C. 3-5 days a week.

The **Strategic Planner** will support the Strategic Planning Program Office with analytical, policy development and business planning services to assist with development and updates to the agency Strategic Plan and supporting documents. This support is critical to how the agency defines the agency mission, long-term goals, strategies planned, and the approaches it will use to monitor its progress in addressing specific national problems, needs, challenges, and opportunities related to its mission.

In addition, the **Strategic Planner** may be involved with the development and submission of agency reauthorization and appropriation requests for specific agency and program needs that lead to setting spending ceilings for them.

The projects will vary in both programmatic and technical taskings and require a highly organized professional to work independently or in a team environment.

**Duties**
- Conduct research and analyses in support of administration and congressional proposals.
- Prepare documents with oversight from program office and communicate results of research and analysis to agency management as required.
- Conduct research and analysis to support Program office presentations and develop presentations, when requested.
- Perform financial analysis in support of agency appropriations and reauthorization requests.
- Provide meeting support to include planning and distributing agendas, scheduling conference rooms, note-taking/meeting minutes, participation in reviews, updates of policy decisions, and strategic meetings, etc.

**Qualifications**
- Strong federal government background providing support to agency program offices charged with strategic planning responsibilities to include Congressional reporting.
- Experience using Excel or similar financial tools in support of developing agency budgets in support of appropriation requests desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.
- 5+ Years of Strategic Planning Support experience.
- Public Trust clearance or higher.

In addition, the **Strategic Planner** role requires:

- Ability to handle pressure to include last minute changes and urgent requests.
- Comfortability interfacing with Government, Congressional, and private sector clients at all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills.
