Full Time Medical Receptionist

Munster, United States Serenity Surgical Full time

Medical Receptionist for Ambulatory Surgical Center. Will be working at the front desk.

**Job Type**: Full Time

Pay is negotiated based on experience

**Responsibilities and Duties**

Greet patients upon arrival

Check in patients and ensure all necessary patient paperwork is completed before procedure

Responsible for verifying eligibility and benefits for all patients

Schedule patients into ECW for procedures as received from other facilities

Coordinate with other facilities to maintain schedule for multiple providers

Receive pre-certification of all patients scheduled for surgical procedures and verify that authorization has been obtained

Create charts and schedules for each procedure day (includes labels, nursing packets and insurance information)

Scan documents such as charts into each patient file.

Keep patient records

Answer a multi-line telephone and direct them to the appropriate person

Collect payments (taking and running credit card payments)

Assist in maintaining required billing records, reports, files, etc

Maintain lobby to ensure cleanliness and comfort

Maintain business office inventory and equipment

Must have a positive personality, good communication skills and the ability to multitask.

Must be polite to our patients and staff.

**NO WEEKENDS**
**NO HOLIDAYS**

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
