**Description**:
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilizing the supplies and equipment for West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital and it’s community clinics following the infection control practices set forth by West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital. Works under the guidance and direction of the Surgical Services Supervisor.

Educational Requirements:

- High School Education or GED

Experience Requirements:

- Health related experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred (mínimal 1 year experience).

Special Requirements:

- Verbal and written communication skills
