Purchasing Mgr

Haas Automation, Inc. seeks Purchasing Managers in Oxnard, CA.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.**
- Oversees a team of Strategic Sourcing Leaders, Cost Reduction Engineers and Buyers in their daily function of sourcing and procuring items and services for Haas Automation.
- Ensuring that correct policies and procedures are being followed, directing the team on strategy, sourcing activities, value engineering, negotiation and inventory management.
- Drive team to annual cost savings targets utilizing both strategic sourcing and value engineering principles.
- Ensure timely implementation of projects and QUALITY: o Ensure sourcing quality products and services.
- Support Supplier Quality Team in resolution of Quality issues and effective Corrective Actions.
- Ensure team manages SAP Material Resource planning (MRP) alerts to control inventory levels whilst ensuring no shortages to Production Service departments.
- Monitor safety stocks and delivery quantities to ensure right sized to business volumes.
- Set goals direction for team.
- Mentor, Train employees and conduct Annual Performance Reviews.
- Support 99% same day shipment of Service Parts.
- Diligent/timely Review and Approval of Purchase Orders and Invoices.
- Drive internal and external innovation and process improvement.
- Support Engineering and Production on New Product Introduction.
- Directly and indirectly supervises 3-10 employees in the Purchasing Department.
- Planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.

- Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.
- Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.

**Qualifications**

Requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field plus 5 years related experience. Requires 5 years experience in international suppliers. Requires 5 years experience in demonstrates effective adaptability to new and emerging technologies. Requires 5 years experience with MRP and ERP processes and functions. Requires 5 years in Strategic Sourcing. Requires 5 years of experience in teaching, counseling, inspiring, and disciplining the employees.
