**VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR**

Supervisor: Court Program Director

Degree: Bachelor (or related experience)

Classification: Exempt

**Case and Volunteer Management**:
1. Supervision of volunteer advocates.

2. Coach and mentor volunteers

3. Continual training of volunteers

4. Knowledge of child placement options, levels of care and DPRS policies and procedures.

5. Ability to clearly convey and interpret information to others in a clear manner, both orally and in writing.

6. Ability to work under time constraints and maintain effective job performance.

7. Ability to make decisions independently in a consistent and timely manner.

8. Carry a case load of 30 volunteers/45 cases(maximum) as assigned.

9. Coordinates casework responsibilities including family and child contacts, professional contacts, support services, linkage to community resources, court report monitoring, appearances at hearings and management of case files.

10. Attend court hearings and PPT’s with child advocate, or in their place if necessary.

11. Provide notification of meetings and hearings to child advocates.

12. Provide timely, accurate reports for submission to the court and to other involved parties.

13. Maintain up-to-date case files, including progress notes, weekly chronological narratives, reports and motions, correspondence, etc.

14. Maintain case statistics for funding and statistical reporting.

15. Maintain and foster congenial relationships with other professionals.

16. Evaluate child advocate case activity and performance.

17. Must complete 12 hours training annually.

**Volunteer & Staff Training**

1. Assisting the trainer in the recruitment of volunteers.

2. Provide and/or facilitate continuing education opportunities (in-service) to meet or exceed CASA Standards.

3. Maintain Volunteer Records

**Other Duties**:
2. Attend community meetings as necessary.

3. Assist in statistical compilation and record keeping.

4. Assist in program development.

5. Assist in fund raising activities

6. Provide input for newsletter.

7. Maintain a professional, organized environment in the daily operation of the

CASA office.

8. Complete special projects and tasks as assigned.

9. Maintain a working knowledge of computers and software
- National and state criminal and sexual offender record checks via Fingerprint-Based_
- Background Check (FBC), Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry via ABCS, and_
- Social Security number verifications will be conducted on all employees prior to_
- employment and periodically as required by Texas/National CASA._

Pay: $37,500.00 - $38,500.00 per year
