Summer Chess Instructor

TEACH KIDS CHESS This role is geared to those who like working with kids and have an interest in teaching students how to play and improve their chess This is a great opportunity for those who like to think on their feet and adapt to the unique learning styles of students, all while creating a safe and fun learning environment

Job responsibilities will include:

- Be the lead coach in teaching the fundamentals of chess, basic tactics, strategies and techniques to medium-sized classes from ages 6 through 14.
- Follow class curriculum and adhere to our values and mission.
- Must have a reliable source of transportation and ability to commute
- Dependent on role assigned, must have availability Monday-Friday between 12:45pm-4:00pm from June-August or Select Weekday evenings from 4:15pm-5:45pm
- More coaching opportunities available throughout the Orange County region as well
- Starting Pay: $25/hour (starting pay is dependent on experience)

**Requirements**:

- Must have good understanding of rules, strategies and tactics of chess
- Have a passion for chess and desire to share that passion with others
- Be able to communicate concepts clearly and effectively to players of all skill level
