Department Summary: The UCLA School of Law, located in Los Angeles, California, is one of the top-ranked law schools in the United States. Under the general direction of the Assistant Dean of Administrative Services and the Assistant to the Dean of the UCLA School of Law, the incumbent will provide administrative support and reception duties for the School of Law's Dean's Office. The position assumes the primary administrative responsibility for the organization and administration of matters pertaining to the Office of the Dean by serving as the Dean's Office Administrator. In this capacity, the incumbent's duties will include: Answering incoming calls for the office, maintaining and ordering office supplies, processing expense reimbursements, making facility requests, distributing the mail, processing courtesy parking for guests, addressing copier/printer service requests, and maintaining office supplies, arranging messenger pick-ups, serving in a back-up capacity to the other support staff in the Dean's Office, and others duties as assigned.

Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. - 2-3 years Experience working in an executive support role preferably in an institution of higher education. (preferred)
- Demonstrated and successful experience in coordinating the activities of a fast-paced and productive executive or office. (required)
- Knowledge of academic personnel policies and procedures sufficient to perform the responsibilities of the position. (preferred)
- Proficient computer skills, including word processing skills to prepare correspondence and other documents with speed and accuracy, and skills in operating a PC, Word and Excel, Outlook, and other necessary programs. (required)
- Excellent writing skills in composing own correspondence and first drafts. Knowledge of proper punctuation, spelling, sentence and paragraph syntax, and grammar; skill in editing and proofreading. (required)
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and generally interact effectively, sensitively and diplomatically with faculty, staff, students and the public. Skill in establishing rapport and gaining the trust of others from diverse, multi-cultural backgrounds. (required)
- Demonstrated experience working independently with mínimal supervision, using initiative and resourcefulness in performing job duties in areas of responsibility and in the execution of additional duties as assigned. (required)
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues when appropriate and necessary to produce best possible product and accomplish prescribed goals. (required)
- Ability to analyze situations and complaints, to define the problem or objective, identify relevant factors, formulate logical conclusions and recognize alternatives expeditiously and with discretion and confidentiality. (required)
