Busbar Technician

Custom Electronics, Inc., top manufacturer of high-voltage mica-paper capacitors, electronic assemblies and modules, and multi-layer bus-bars for the aerospace, geophysical and defense industries located in Oneonta, NY, is currently seeking a Bus-Bar Technician to join our production team on first shift (7:00 am
- 3:30 pm Mon.Fri.).

The Busbar Technician will be responsible for assisting with planning, organizing, and coordinating the activities within the Busbar department. You will be required to work with production and follow specifications to build parts and maintain equipment as required by the customer.

Specific duties for the Busbar Technician are as follows:

- Prepare and assemble all units as required by job order specifications.
- Perform electrical and mechanical testing for units as needed.
- Properly mask off busbars prior to the insulation process.
- Build fixtures as needed
- Work with Engineering and Quality Assurance in development of fixtures.
- Observe and practice appropriate environmental, safety and health policies and practices.

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
