Plant Superintendent

**Nicolock**, is the Leading Manufacturer of Paving Stones, Retaining Walls, and other Concrete Products. We have an immediate opening for a Plant Superintendent for our dry cast paving stone operation in our Lindenhurst, New York location. Our culture is focused on growth and our environment is fast paced. This position is a key role in the overall management structure of the Company. The Company is seeking a proactive, energetic individual to develop the growth in our New York market.

Job description includes:

- Manage all production, quality, safety, and maintenance functions of a single facility, multi shift operation.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to insure that safety, product quality, housekeeping and maintenance for the facility meet Company expectations.
- Coordinate production and maintenance scheduling.
- Work closely with Dispatch to insure customer demands are met at optimal cost.
- Work closely with Area Sales Manager with respect to all issues of the facility; to include problem resolution and new product R&D

Requirements to include:

- Hands-on, shop floor Supervisor
- Must have demonstrable and verifiable experience in operating, troubleshooting and repairing automated electro-mechanical and electro-pneumatic production equipment
- Products are highly aesthetic, so attention to quality is of utmost importance
- Minimum of 5 years managerial experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in concrete products industry a plus.
- Working knowledge of inventory control.
- Continuous Improvement of facility and processes
- Assure consistency of our products

Special consideration for:

- Concrete knowledge/experience
- Siemens S5, S7 and PLC knowledge
- Assure consistency of our products and processes
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- P&L Experience & Cost Control
