**Summary**: The Inspiritas Coordinator plans and implements the community’s engagement and events for RUI’s Memory Care Signature Program (Inspiritás). Establish and maintain a volunteer and intergenerational program as well as family and community support groups. The Inspiritas Coordinator serves as a knowledgeable and creative resource to the community in regard to understanding and addressing the specific needs of residents with dementia and related disorders. He/she performs job duties with an upbeat, helpful, and positive attitude and in a timely fashion to ensure no interruption to planned activities or events. The Inspiritas Coordinator also grows and maintains our signature programs and services in relation to the Inspiritas residents and community. They maintain necessary records and provide oversight and direction in the community to maintain compliance and reporting requirements as directed by the Executive Director and Regional Director of Inspiritas, as well as state regulatory agencies.

***ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintains a working knowledge of all RUI policies and procedures pertaining to the position, the department, and the personnel.
- Plans, implements, and ensures a varied and innovative Life Enrichment program to enhance the emotional, social, physical, spiritual, and intellectual well-being of the residents as outlined in the Inspiritás program manual and as directed by the Executive Director.
- Coordinates the scheduling and activity assignments of designated Life Enrichment Assistants (LEA) for successful delivery of the Inspiritás program.
- Determines the necessary supplies for all activities, events, ERA (Exploration/Reminiscence Area) s, etc.
- Plans Inspiritás activities and events in accordance with monthly budget.
- Seeks direction and advice appropriately from ED or Regional Director of Inspiritas to ensure best practices are in place.
- Advocates for Resident Rights at all times.
- Assists with orientation and recommended training of all Inspiritás staff in relation to Life Enrichment and dementia.
- Leads and assists resident activities with mínimal supervision while implementing appropriate modifications to assist residents with physical, sensory, or cognitive impairments.
- Encourages residents to participate in Life Enrichment programs with an upbeat, helpful, and positive attitude.
- Assists residents as necessary when going to and from activities.
- Organizes, coordinates, and accompanies residents on special outings as necessary.
- Contributes to Life Enrichment activity/event planning by bringing knowledgeable suggestions or community resources to the attention of the Life Enrichment Director.
- Assists in advertising/promoting programs by preparing and posting daily notices, posters as required.
- Arranges chairs, tables and sporting or exercise equipment in specified areas for scheduled group or one-on-one activities.
- Utilizes Resident Engagement Tracking procedures accurately with mínimal supervision.
- Actively participates in the Community Ambassador program and presents the Oral History to the new resident as directed by the Executive Director.
- Takes photographs during activities/events and ensures timely transfer to the Life Enrichment Director without violating HIPAA
- Assists with collecting video/photo releases as necessary at all activities/events.
- Ensures all Life Enrichment areas are maintained in a clean, functional, and orderly fashion.
- Submits work orders as needed to maintenance/housekeeping department.
- Helps maintain equipment as necessary.
- Drives the community van as needed.
- Coordinates with LED to implement a robust, multi-generational volunteer program which will enhance the programs offered by the community. Ensures appropriate supervision of all volunteers and their adherence to safety protocols. Conducts annual volunteer recognition program.
- Actively participates in educational opportunities to improve the service delivery to residents with dementia.
- Coordinates with Director of Marketing and Community Relations to participate in tours, meetings, and special events to promote RUI’s Life Enrichment Values and Inspiritás program as directed by the Executive Director.
- Serves as a resource and positive example of RUI’s Life Enrichment Values and Inspiritás program for all employees, residents, volunteers, and visitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Certified Dementia Practitioner (preferred).
- Recreational Therapist, Music Therapist, Art Therapist Background (preferred).
- Occupational Therapist.
- Memory Care, Education, and/or Social Work experience - 2 years.
