Exact Panel Works is a small, but rapidly growing fabrication business in Palatine, IL. We provide custom panel solutions to our customers and pride ourselves on being a reliable, precision-driven partner for the cladding market.

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our growing team. The CNC Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to assist with the manufacture and finishing of panels according to project specifications. Previous experience operating CNC machines required, and CNC router experience is preferred. Woodworking CNC router or sheet cutting equipment experience are also beneficial.

**Location and Hours**:
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Location: Palatine, IL

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as routing, drilling and milling.
- Able to read & comprehend detail shop drawings as well as adhere to quality standards and specifications.
- Effectively work as part of a team while interfacing with all levels of staff.
- Work well in a fast-pace, rapidly changing work environment.
- Adhere to company safety guidelines.
- Load and unload raw materials into the machine using powered equipment.
- Monitor the production process and ensure machine is consistently producing good product.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Record production completed during each shift.
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Read detailed production schedules, work order forms, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed in the warehouse.
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
- Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Shop Supervisor.
- Housekeeping duties, including all forms of warehouse cleanup.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience operating CNC machines is required. Experience with a CNC router is preferred. Woodworking CNC router or sheet cutting equipment is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience running a CNC router; Biesse experience is a plus.
- Solid math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively and inspect work pieces using measurement devices (tape measure, calipers, etc).
- Comfortable with hand tools, drills, saws, tape measure, power tools, etc.
- Familiarity with CAD software is preferred.
- Able to be on feet for 8-10 hours per day and able to walk, reach, lift, move heavy objects (up to 10 lbs regularly and 40 lbs occasionally).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is beneficial.
