Heritage Candy is a B2B wholesale distribution candy company, and we are looking for someone with Wholesale and/or Retail Buying experience to join our team This is a full time in-person position, and you'd be working out of our Van Nuys, CA office (near Van Nuys Airport). We are a family-run business that really enjoys the opportunity of getting all of our candies out to the retail market More details about the job opening are below:
**Responsibilities Include**:
- Processing new Purchase Orders from start to finish
- Helping with production planning / maintaining the production schedule
- Maintaining relationships with both vendors and clients
- Inspecting inventory levels and updating the relevant spreadsheets/documents
- Placing new orders for product as needed
- Managing various product samples for accounts
- Arranging the freight for pick up of candy as needed, and negotiating freight rates to get the best possible prices
- Processing paperwork for international shipments for items that we're importing
**Requirements Include**:
- Retail buying or wholesale experience
- Computer skills - proficiency with software programs (especially Microsoft Excel)
- Excellent administrative and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Positive "can-do" attitude
- Familiarity with accounting software is a plus

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
