Mechanical, Welding Inspector

Looking for a **local-based** mechanical inspector in the Shrewsbury, MA area for oilfield component-related third party inspections.

Work will be **part-time as contracts come up**. Equipment will be supplied by others. As part of the job, inspector will be required to write daily, detailed inspection reports with supporting photos attached on a supplied inspection form template.

Must Notify witness and hold points to the client.

Ensures the project quality inspection and test plan requirements are followed.

Verify dimensions and certifications for all materials and consumables.

Professional designation preferred such a API or AWS certification.

Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and B31.3, CSA Z662, API 570, ASME I, II, V, VII, IX

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Hourly rates will be based on experience and qualifications.
