**SUMMARY**

Applicant shall be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electronic assemblies and equipment. Be able to remove and replace components on PCB assemblies. Perform software / firmware updates assemblies. Maintain proprietary Test Fixture assemblies. Test, debug and repair PCB assemblies. Calibrate, test and perform QC inspection on completed assemblies prior to shipment. Conduct all work duties with safety as top priority.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:Include the following:

- Demonstrate a commitment to the Quality Management System, and the Vision and Values of OMNI by maintaining established policies and procedures, organizational objectives, continuous quality improvement, quality assessment and safety standards.
- Reads and follows circuit diagrams, schematics, shop orders, assembly drawings, procedures, samples, or verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed, from supervisor or engineering staff.
- Perform temperature characterization of PCB assemblies by maintaining and operating heat/cool cycling chambers and associated equipment.
- Enter test data into a spreadsheet which calculates the resistor value used to optimizes PCB performance and accuracy, keeping record of results.
- Repairs and tests electronic modules and sub-assemblies down to the component level using standard test procedures and schematics.
- Perform quality control function by inspecting and testing incoming raw components or circuit board modules received from vendors to company standards using written procedures or verbal instructions and documenting results.

**ADDITIONAL TASKS**:Include the following:

- Periodically verify the correct operation of the heat/cool cycling chambers to company standards. Calibrate chambers as necessary.
- Perform periodic maintenance and verification of correct operation of the company’s test equipment such as, but not limited to, heat/cool cycling chambers.
- Assist production department by testing and repairing returned RMA product.
- Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, or bridges.
- Read assembly drawings, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
- Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
- Align, fit, or assemble component parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopes.
- Analyze and record test results and prepare written testing documentation.
- Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Other duties may be assigned.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**
- Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; and six months to one-year related experience and/or training. Extensive experience, in lieu of education can be considered.
- Knowledge and use of the following equipment: digital multi-meter, mill-amp calibrator, decade resistance box, frequency generator, frequency counter, oscilloscope, power supply and high-pot insulation tester.
- Knowledge is also required of anti-static procedures, through-hole and SMT soldering and de-soldering skills, component identification codes, resistor color code, and common component identification codes.
- Applicant shall have or obtain an IPC J-STD-001 certificate.
