**Responsibilities**:

- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients struggling with substance use and abuse disorders
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans based on client needs
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and behavior management, client centered
- Psychoeducation to clients on harm reduction as well as abstinence models of treatment
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and clinical counselors, and psychiatric staff to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Assist clients in developing coping skills and strategies to overcome substance use and addiction
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collect and maintain accurate records of client information and treatment progress
- Provide education and support to clients' families regarding addiction and recovery
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in addiction counseling
- Continue education requirements needed for renewals of licensure

**Qualifications**:

- Master's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, counseling)

- Active licensure
- **Required**:

- Experience in providing addiction counseling services
- Knowledge of various therapeutic approaches, including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques for substance abuse treatment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Spanish speaking a+
- Electronic medical records (EMR) experience

**Experience in the following is preferred**:

- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Person Centered Care
- Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET)
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
- Trauma Informed Therapy
- Harm Reduction

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
