**Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position**:
This position has overall responsibility for machine-specific functions such as configuring the equipment, loading and operating the machines, and optimizing the machine capability. They need to ensure that the machine works at its full capacity, oversee its maintenance, and perform timely quality checks.

**Major Responsibilities - reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions**:

- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed).
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
- Test operation of machines periodically.
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
- Assist with preventative maintenance; ex. monitor fluid levels on all machines, and change filters.
- Sweep and mop the floors in the CNC Department and ensure it’s clean and tidy.
- Be comfortable reporting issues, malfunctions, and/or defective parts to the supervisor.
- Follow all Safety Guidelines & Company Rules, Policies, and Procedures without exception.

**Qualifications and Job Demands**
- 1 years’ experience required, preferred as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Good communications skills, with the ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions in English
- Intermediate attention to detail and a good understanding of Quality Control Principles
- Ability to run multiple tasks during assigned shift, with strong organizational skills.
- Self-Motivated, Focused and Results Oriented, with the ability to work independently.
- Self-determined and driven to achieve defined goals, with the strong problem solving.
- Lean Manufacturing experience a plus.

**Work Environment and Physical Demands**
- Works in a clean, air-conditioned and well-lit production environment

- 70% Standing on cement floors with rubber mats, 10% Sitting, 10% Stooping and Bending and 10% Walking
- Lift and transport an average weight 10 lbs., maximum 40 lbs.
- Manual dexterity of both hands.
- Near Visual Acuity (either corrected or uncorrected).
- Ability to understand verbal direction and instruction. Must be able to read, understand and comply with all quality and safety regulations.

The Machine Operator is responsible for manufacturing product according to customer specifications. Failure to follow the quality system processes can result in faulty parts which cost the company time and money.
