We have an opening for one (1) Staff Tax Auditor (STA) in the Field Audit and Compliance Division, San Diego Area Audit Office's, Audit Crew 1.
This is a great promotional or transfer opportunity for an experienced auditor to take a new step on your career path in a fantastic office Under the general direction of the Tax Administrator I (TAI), the STA conducts audit reviews on the most difficult, complex, and sensitive accounts, typically involving the largest employers with multiple status issues and computerized accounting systems. The STA will also identify and develop audit leads for out of state and local Area Audit Offices (AAO), serve as the Department's audit and compliance representative, develop guidelines, training courses, and help formulate policy and procedures to assist management in the administration of the Employment Tax Program. The Incumbent may also serve as a lead person.

This position is headquartered in San Diego, CA and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
