**Title: Chef/Cleaner/Daycare floater**

**Start Date**: May or June (approximate)

**Hours**: 8:15-4:45 (full time) or 8:15-1:00(apx/flexible) or 12:30(apx/flexible)-4:45 (1 full-time or 2 part-time positions)

**Pay**: $17-$23/hour depending on experience and fit

**Location**: 1857 Mission Street, South Pasadena CA 91030

**Duration** Minimum of 1 year, but hopefully many more

I run an in-home daycare and am looking for an assistant that can clean and cook as well as step in as the lead infant and preschool teacher to allow them their break and take over when they are out sick or on vacation.

**Duties include**:
**Cleaning**:

- Maintaining a clean and tidy home and yard (including all aspects of cleaning, not just light cleaning)
- Family and daycare laundry
- Flipping our two Airbnb’s onsite

**Cooking**:

- Meal planning for the week
- Making healthy meals and recording them in the daycare app
- Noticing what the children are enjoying and adjusting the meal plans accordingly

**Childcare**:

- Helping the lead teachers transition the children to and from meal time (including pottying/diapering and handwashing)
- Conducting preschool nap time (to relieve teacher for break)
- Walking/biking to pick up of my children (aged 6 and 8) from nearby elementary school
- When teachers are sick or on vacation, taking over for them.
- Developing a professional and positive relationship with the daycare parents and children

**Requirements**:
**Personal requirements**:

- Attitude of “I can help wherever is needed” (cleaning, caring for toddlers, babies, my children, other household task, food prep, errands, etc.)_
- Very active and healthy: This job is physically taxing (or a great workout depending on how you view it). You’ll be lifting children into highchairs, riding a bike/jogging with my children after picking them up from school, sitting on the floor patting a child to sleep, etc._
- Multitasker (folding laundry while talking to a child about the book they are looking at, cutting veggies while the children play with play-doh at the kitchen counter across from you, etc.)_
- Precision to detail/high personal standards to ensure a pristine Airbnb experience for the guests._
- Fluent in English and Spanish. We would like you to talk and sing to the children (at least the babies) exclusively in Spanish._

**Licensing requirements**:

- Legal to work in the US_

**Experience requirements**:

- Experience making a variety of genres of cuisines that are healthy and appropriate for children_
- Able to take direction and adapt to cooking at a daycare_
- Experience with all aspects of cleaning (or willing to learn) inside and outside the home._
- Experience caring for all aspects of infant care (feeding, diapering, napping, purposeful play)_
- Experience caring for all aspects preschool aged children (feeding, pottying, napping, instruction)_
- Experience caring for 4 or more children at a time._

**Daycare requirements**:

- COVID vaccinated and booster, yearly flu shot, negative TB test, measles and pertussis vaccine, willing to get CPR/first aid certified, fingerprinted, and do the online child abuse mandated reporter training. (Sorry that there are lots of requirements, but I can help with the process and reimburse any fees after 3 months of employment.)_
