**Job Description**:
Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform appliance repairs installations and change outs as necessary.
- Always follow established safety procedures and precautions.
- Replace light fixtures, sinks, toilets, and any other fixtures as necessary.
- Troubleshoot issues with HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.
- Report all incidents/accidents, no matter how minor, to your supervisor immediately.
- Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
- Report equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, unsafe/hazardous conditions, and defective equipment, etc., to your supervisor as soon as possible.
- Ensure maintenance supplies have been replenished in work areas as necessary.
- Make sure that all apartments turn forms are filled out as completely as possible.
- Attend and participate in in-service educational classes, and on-the-job training programs.
- Assure that work/assignment areas are clean, and equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks, end of workday. Maintain general plant and facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean, and orderly environment. Keep your work area(s) free of hazardous conditions, i.e., grease/oil spills, excess supplies, equipment, etc., to assure that all established safety rules/regulations are always followed.
- Follow established policies and procedures concerning infection control when performing maintenance services in isolation rooms/areas.
- Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established maintenance policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, etc., as approved.
- Technician shall participate in the on-call rotation schedule.

Qualifications:

- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
- At least one (1) year of experience in general building maintenance, to include: plumbing, electrical, flooring, repairing, texturing, and painting of drywall, and carpentry work is preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions and problem-solving skills.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, patients, visitors, and the public.
- At least eighteen (18) years of age and of good moral character.
- Have general computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel including conducting an internet search for parts.
- Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Know basic operations & safety of power tools and hand tools.
- Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
