Addiction Counselor

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Addiction Counselor to join our team. As an Addiction Counselor, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals overcome substance abuse and addiction. Your primary responsibility will be to provide counseling services to clients, develop treatment plans, and support their journey towards recovery.

**Duties**:

- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the severity of addiction and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide individual counseling sessions to clients, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy
- Conduct group therapy sessions to facilitate peer support and encourage open communication among clients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients, including medical professionals, social workers, and psychologists
- Monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Provide crisis intervention services when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations

**Experience**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Previous experience working as an Addiction Counselor or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of addiction treatment modalities and evidence-based practices
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis and billing purposes
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in crisis intervention and managing challenging situations

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
