Arizona Building Supply manufactures truss and wall panel components, and sells a wide range of building materials including lumber, windows, doors, hardware and trim. Additionally, they operate regional home centers located throughout the state, offering a variety of building materials and home improvement supplies.

Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Company is seeking a Contractor Sales Representative that will take telephone or in person orders and respond to contractor or professional builder requests, while providing customers with a shopping atmosphere that is well maintained, clean, organized and safe. **INTENT OF JOB DESCRIPTION AND MODIFICATION**:
This job description describes the duties and responsibilities, qualification requirements, physical demands, work environment, etc. for this job. Duties may be combined with other jobs or duties from other jobs depending upon operational circumstances. NOTE: Typically the Pay Status of this position is nonexempt. However, at larger locations it may be a salaried position. The complexity of the job and the experience required to perform the job determine the exempt status.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of the Job. Other duties may be assigned. Performance Appraisal (PA) measurements are noted in brackets [__].

1. Provide counter service by taking telephone or in person orders and responding to Customer requests. Resolve Customer and merchandise problems. [PA: Customer Service provided consistent with Company standards.]
2. Complete all paperwork to take routine and special orders for Customers; ring up sale on cash register. Check inventory to determine availability for delivery and verify out-of-stock merchandise.
[PA: All necessary paperwork correctly completed.]
3. Accept returned merchandise by verifying documents and merchandise. Process refunds, credits, and exchanges according to Company procedures to assure customer satisfaction and accurate accounting of inventory. Coordinate with receiving/warehouse to restock returned merchandise. [PA: Returned merchandise received correctly.]
4. Assist in the purchasing of select product categories by monitoring specific merchandise, reporting inventory levels and replenishment needs to management. [PA: Inventory remains at specified levels.]
5. Calculate small take-offs and bids, estimating lumber and material lists for Customers. [PA: Accurate material estimates.]
6. Maintain a clean store environment including doors, floors, windows, ceilings, restrooms and work stations. Clean and dust products and displays and face the products. Ensure aisles and other areas are clear of obstacles to allow customers to shop easily and safely. [PA: Store appearance maintained in accordance with Company standards.]
8. Perform any other duties, responsibilities or tasks as assigned. [PA: Efficient completion of assigned duty, responsibility or task.]

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers.

**OTHER QUALIFICATIONS**
Good interpersonal, communication, sales and Customer Service skills are necessary. Knowledge of building materials products and lumber is desirable. Ability to operate computer equipment and applicable programs is required.
