**POSITION OBJECTIVE**:
**The job of Preschool Teacher is done for the purpose/s of planning, organizing and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.**

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary)**
- Provide supervision for students from all grade levels offered by school outside of instructional hours.
- Create multi-level activities for students of various age levels
- Manage daily schedule expectations
- Communicate with families of students in the program as needed
- Communicate with school staff and administration regarding student engagement and behavior
- Manage attendance of students in program
- Maintain program expectations in coordination with school policies

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require)**:

- High School Diploma
- Up to date TB test
- First Aid/CPR Certified
- IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:
**Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.**

**Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.**
