St. George School is a community-centered PreK-8 public schoo l located in picturesque Mid
- Coast Maine. We are committed to academic excellence, community engagement,

Expeditionary Learning, and teachers working in teams to innovate, educate, and develop as

professionals.

We are seeking a PreK classroom teacher who values Social-Emotional, Play and Nature-Based

understanding of best practices in early childhood education as well as experience implementing an

evidence-based preschool curriculum and administering developmentally appropriate activities.

Other key attributes for this position include experience teaching/working with students who have

disabilities, an understanding of the special education process, and familiarity with Child

Development Services (CDS). Excellent communication and organizational skills are also important

as the PreK teacher will work closely with administrators, the PreK ed tech, a teacher team composed

of K-2 educators, and other stakeholders.

This position requires an Early Elementary (081) certification as well as a Maine Department of
