Resource Recovery Center of Orange County is a medically supervised detox and inpatient rehabilitation center in Middletown, NY. entering year three of operation. We are seeking a self-motivated, hardworking and trustworthy Maintenance Technician to assist in the day-to-day maintenance of our facility. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the cleaning, repair and renovation of building and equipment, and maintenance of the grounds and landscaping.

Responsible for all general repairs to and maintenance of physical plant equipment, systems and facility. Must be available on-call.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Construct, erect, install and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood and wall board conforming to local building codes.

Assemble, install and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.

Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers and water softeners.

Paint exterior and interior surfaces according to established schedule.

Repair and open locks, make keys, change lock combinations.

Maintains grounds of facility, cutting lawns, trims and edges around walks, flower beds and walls.

Plant grass, flowers, trees, shrubs.

Water lawns and flowers when necessary.

Repair fences, gates, walls, walks and pot holes.

Clean out drainage ditches and culverts using shovels or rakes.

Clean and maintain pools, check and maintain chlorine and pH levels daily to meet standards

All other duties assigned by supervisor.

Maintains confidentiality of all client information as required by law.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:
High School Diploma or equivalent required

2 to 5 years of maintenance work experience

Current valid USA Driver's License with clean record

Must be available on-call

**SKILLS**:
Great interpersonal skills

Attention to detail

Handy with tools and machinery

Light electrical skills

Light plumbing skills
