The interdisciplinary teams include psychiatric providers, art therapists, social workers and psychologists. Our wraparound social services include case management, financial assistance, vocational support, and crisis intervention. 

**Job Summary**:
The Addictions Specialist works with clients struggling with process addictions such as gambling and sex/porn. The incumbent will receive ongoing training and supervision.

Clinicians at JFS evaluate through psychosocial and family assessments, the social, emotional, interpersonal and environmental needs of clients. The incumbent develops trusting therapeutic connections and provides culturally appropriate mental health and behavioral interventions, for individuals and groups. Clinicians employ evidenced based interventions for a variety of populations. The incumbent exercises appropriate insight and knowledge of contemporary psychiatric evaluation when formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in a mental health related field such as Psychology or Social Work from an accredited school
- License to practice mental health in New Jersey (LSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC)
- Strong working knowledge of psychotherapy principles and practices
- Prior experience in the field of addictions
- Knowledge of current DSM criteria and MH treatment modalities
- Familiar with crisis assessment tools and techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week
