Job Summary: Responsible for general maintenance, safety and cleanliness of school. Responsible for storage and setting up equipment and furnishings.

Qualifications: Previous experience as a Custodian - preferred

Job Responsibilities:

- Cleans and maintains school building
- Stores, organizes and cares for furniture and other school equipment
- Makes minor repairs
- Uses master keys to unlock/lock the doors/closets
- Keeps inventory
- Responds to emergency/weather situations (flooding, snow, heating)
- Sets up food serving equipment/utensils and furniture for meetings
- Removes waste and transports outside
- Cleans outdoor playground and insures the safety and integrity of play equipment
- Brings in outside equipment daily
- Paints classrooms
- Service air conditioning (filters)
- Replaces and/or repairs ceiling panels as necessary
- Conducts-preliminary investigation of electrical/plumbing/heating problems
- Perform any duties and responsibilities that are within the scope of employment, as assigned by their supervisor and not otherwise prohibited by law or regulation
- Notify school of absences due to illness, emergency leave, normal vacation periods, or professional meetings that will affect agreed upon services in the school
- Treat all children with dignity and respect
- Climb a ladder
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
