Innovative Medical Group is a well-established healthcare practice based in Temecula, CA, dedicated to providing high-quality medical care to our patients. We seek a skilled and experienced Medical Biller to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the financial health of our practice.

As a Medical Biller at Innovative Medical Group in Temecula, you will be working under the supervision and guidance of another biller. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing medical claims and invoices to ensure timely reimbursement from insurance providers and patients. Experience with the Tebra/Kareo system is preferred, but not required. Your primary duties will include:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Claim Submission**: Prepare and submit medical insurance claims using our clearing house system, Waystar, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing regulations.

**Insurance Verification**: Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits to determine coverage and co-pays.

**Coding**: Assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes to medical procedures and diagnoses.

**Billing**: Generate and send patient statements, process insurance payments, and follow up on unpaid claims.

**Reconciliation**: Reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve billing issues in a timely manner.

**Documentation**: Maintain detailed and organized records of billing activities, payments, and communications.

**Compliance**: Stay up-to-date with healthcare billing regulations and ensure all billing practices comply with legal requirements.

**Communication**: Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries and disputes.

**Reporting**: Prepare and provide reports on billing and accounts receivable status to management as needed.

**Customer Service**: Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their billing-related questions and concerns.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing.
- Knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Proficiency in CPT and ICD-10 coding.
- Familiarity with insurance claim processing and reimbursement procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing regulations and compliance standards is a plus.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Medical billing: 1 year (preferred)
