LECTURER IN MUSIC
Academic Year 2024-25
The Department of Music at the University of California, Davis, announces an opening for a lecturer to teach and direct the UC Davis Symphony Orchestra during the fall 2024 academic quarter.
Music 141 (University Symphony)
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in Music, or equivalent experience.
- At least one year of experience orchestral conducting.
- PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Familiarity with the needs of a non-traditional, first-generation, culturally diverse student body.
- Experience conducting college-level orchestral ensembles.
- Familiarity with orchestral repertoire.
- Ability to provide clear leadership and effective musical direction.
STARTING DATE: Fall Quarter
