We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate **Registered Nurse (RN)** to join our team at Meridell Achievement Center. As a **Registered Nurse,** you will be responsible for providing physical assessments, implementing treatment plans, evaluating patient response, and providing complete documentation. You will also be responsible for supervising Mental Health Techs and Licensed Vocational Nurses, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.

**Your Impact**:

- Provide physical assessments of patients and implement treatment plans as prescribed
- Evaluate patient response to treatment and provide complete documentation
- Administer medications as prescribed and provide health care education to patients and families
- Supervise Mental Health Techs and Licensed Vocational Nurses to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
- Participate in making unit decisions and provide ongoing coaching to new employees
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain knowledge of patient status, including safety plans, triggers, coping skills, and medical issues
- Monitor patient behavior and condition, reporting changes to the physician as necessary
- Participate in unit structure and dynamics, including routine, ISP, level system, neurobehavioral principles, and unit Activities of Daily Living (ADL's)
- Interact with patients in a respectful and therapeutic manner, maintaining healthy boundaries and setting limits when necessary
- Participate in team work and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to other staff members
- Complete required in-service training and maintain current licensure and certification

**What You'll Bring**:

- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Prior clinical experience and recent psychiatric nursing experience preferred
- Current RN licensure in the State of Texas
- Good communication skills and ability to present information effectively
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work collaboratively with others
