**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

**_ Sanitation Duties and Responsibilities_**:

- Wash wares using dish machine.
- Wash and sanitize equipment, carts and work areas including countertop, floor and wall surfaces.
- Proper food handling and sanitation skills while serving student and staff meals.
- Proper sanitation skills while setting up and tearing down and doing dishes, disassembling food carts, cleaning and sanitizing of pots and pans and restocking areas.
- Provide food prep, sanitation, service, clean up, and washing of wares according to department and DPI regulations.
- **_Cooking/Serving Duties and Responsibilities_**:

- Assist lead to measure, cook, bake, chop, and puree ingredients according to recipes using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment such as blenders, mixers, stove, ovens, food warmers etc.
- Check food to ensure the proper temperature and quantity.
- Serve food following specific meal portioning guidelines.
- Assist students and staff with carrying trays, cutting up foods, opening milk cartons, etc.
- **_Other Duties and Responsibilities_**:

- Assist in ensuring that supplies and forms are kept stocked.
- Assist in completing all daily and monthly paperwork and assist in meeting DPI requirements.
- Provide assistance and back-up as needed to Food and Nutrition Site Lead for all reporting needs.
- Participate and/or attend all annual in-service education, as appropriate for food service staff.
- Complete yearly DPI required food service training hours.

Complete daily Point of Sale transactions in Skyward for student and staff lunches.
- Demonstrate a commitment to county safety and risk management efforts.
