Galveston, United States Absolute Therapy Solutions Full time

Planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatment of patients suffering from injuries or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, to restore functions, relieve pain and prevent disability.
- Reviewing physician’s referral (prescription) and patient’s condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.
- Testing and measuring patient’s strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity and respiratory and circulatory efficiency and record findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
- Planning and preparing written treatment programs based on evaluation of patient data.
- Administering manual exercises to improve and maintaining functions.
- Instructing, motivating, and assisting patients to perform various physical activities such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily living activities.
- Evaluating effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefits.
- Directs the assistance of support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals.
- Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs. In-service meetings and workshops. Keeps up to date professional literature.
- Conducts therapy practice within defined standard of care.
- Administering traction to relieve pain using traction equipment.
- Recording treatment, responses and progress in patient’s chart or enters information into computer. Instruct patients and family of the treatment procedures to be continued at home.

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

**Education**:

- Associate (preferred)

License/Certification:

- CPR Certification (required)
- Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Galveston, TX: Relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: On the road
