This position participates in and oversees the receipt, storage, requisitioning and disbursement of clothing, supplies and materials at Women's Huron Valley Correctional Facility (WHV). The facility consists of Administration, Food Service, Maintenance, Clinic, Prisoner Housing Units, Intake and SAI all of which require Warehouse Services and Quartermaster Operations. The position works independently assigning duties to prisoner workers to complete daily tasks. The person in this position may work as Quartermaster responsible for ordering, stocking, distributing, controlling and managing all inmate clothing and officer uniforms at the facility, or in the Warehouse receiving goods delivered to the facility, and distributing supplies to all units throughout the complex, including prisoner store orders and prisoner property. In addition to the supply and distribution duties, the position may also be assigned duties in the Central Laundry and Caustic Station. The position works as part of the Warehouse and Services team providing services throughout the complex and interacts with both inner and outer departments and vendors.

One year of experience in the storage, handling and distribution of materials, or in the operation of mail handling and sorting machines, and related equipment.

Storekeeper 7
Three years of experience in the storage, handling and distribution of materials, or in the operation of mail handling and sorting machines, and related equipment, including two years equivalent to the Storekeeper E6.

**Additional Requirements and Information**:
**_The Department of Corrections may screen out job applicants who have been convicted of a felony in accordance with Public Act 191 of 2017_**. **_Applicants who have been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony are ineligible for employment with the Department of Corrections until satisfactory completion of any sentence imposed, including parole or probation._**
