We are looking for a highly skilled Custodial Services Supervisor who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to lead the Sixteen-member day shift of the Custodial Services Unit within the Buildings & Grounds Division. **About This Role**:
As a front-line leader of the custodial unit, you will model and ensure high performance and customer service consistent with the agency’s mission, vision, and values. This position is responsible for supervising custodial staff and ensuring cleanliness of the organization’s facilities. Sample responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:

- Supervise the day-to-day custodial operations to include planning, coordinating, administering, and evaluating projects, implementing processes, procedures, systems, and standards; monitoring maintenance schedules; and monitoring workflows and work assignments.
- Supervise custodial staff: hire, train, motivate custodial staff. Prioritize and assign work, ensure they are trained and follow policies and procedures, maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.
- Performs job site inspections to ensure desired outcomes and compliance with applicable safety standards and specifications, enforces employee adherence to applicable safety rules and regulations.
- Assist in the development and management of custodial budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations. Identify cost savings opportunities without compromising quality of service. Maintain inventory, estimate, and order custodial supplies.
- Assist with developing and implementing policies and procedures for the proper use and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials to ensure compliance with regulations and safety protocols in accordance with County’s Risk and Wellness Services.
- Prepare, review, and maintain various records and logs using software systems.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature

M**inimum Requirements**:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 3 years of related experience.
**Preferences**:
1. Three or more years’ experience managing a custodial budget.
2. Three or more years of supervisory experience in a custodial environment.
3. Three or more years of experience with Environmental Hazard Management, including management of chemicals.
**Special Requirements**:
Must possess a valid Driver's License; Must pass a pre-employment physical; Must pass a Police background check, which may include but is not limited to: Criminal History Check, Credit History Check, Education Verification Check, License Verification Check, and/or Fingerprinting may be required.
**Work Schedule**:
The scheduled hours for this position is 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (Monday-Friday). This position may require you to work some evenings and weekends. This position is considered an Essential Employee and therefore will be required to work mandatory extra hours during County emergencies. Operational Need Pay is provided for extra hours worked at the employee’s straight hourly rate.
**Starting Salary Range**:
$27.63 to $33.66 Hourly
