- **Special Skills/Abilities Needed**:_

Ability to operate within a team atmosphere.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Forklift certification
- **Nature & Scope-Principal Areas of Responsibilities**:_ This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Charges furnace with correct material for each grade of metal.

Weighs and add any required alloys to heat.

Takes C.E. readings.

Reads the pouring schedule for special instructions and alloy additions.

Removes slag per procedure.

Monitors melt closely to avoid bridging.

Taps out proper weight at required temperature.

Records each heat in furnace logs.

Maintains furnaces and ladles and all melt equipment.

Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor.

Maintains a clean and safe work area.
