Legislative Policy Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing briefing materials for Committee hearings, business meetings, floor votes, events, memos, and all other engagements related to the LPA’s portfolio.
- Developing and maintaining robust knowledge of regional developments across political, economic, development, and security policy issues. Building a network of contacts among think tank and policy experts as well as regional contacts and others to inform that knowledge.
- Researching policy issues that contribute to the drafting of legislation and other products on behalf of the Committee and the chair.
- Supporting the work of the SPSM and the team, to include additional tasks such as scheduling meetings, coordinating the work of interns, and supporting congressional travel overseas.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in International Relations or related field. Research experience, particularly in the area of Middle East related foreign policy, preferred.
- Prior experience working on the Hill, or at the State Department or related agencies will be considered favorably.
- Eligible to obtain a Top Secret security clearance from the U.S. government.
