Dog Walker

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dog Walker to join our team. As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for providing exercise and companionship to dogs in our care. This is a great opportunity for individuals who have a passion for animals and enjoy spending time outdoors. Walks are Monday through Friday only and are primarily in the Severna Park/Arnold/Cape St Claire area but must be available for other areas throughout Anne Arundel County as needed. The hours vary day to day but on the busiest days, the hours are roughly 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

**Responsibilities**:

- Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring they receive the exercise and potty breaks they need
- Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding their dog's care
- Ensure the safety and well-being of dogs at all times
- Clean up after dogs during walks and properly dispose of waste
- Report any concerns or issues to the supervisor or pet owner
- Maintain accurate records of walks and any observations made during the walk

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working with animals, particularly dogs, is preferred
- Knowledge of basic dog handling techniques and behavior is required
- Experience in pet grooming, equine, or veterinary settings is a plus
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners

**Requirements**:

- Must have a genuine love for animals and a desire to provide excellent care
- Must be willing to work in all weather
- Reliable transportation to travel between client locations

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
