**JOB SUMMARY**

The Victim Advocate Coordinator, accountable to the Vice President or designee, is charged with providing advocacy services to victims as well as conducting and facilitating outreach, programming and educational opportunities in support of assigned cases. The coordinator is responsible for implementing assigned tasks and work including but not limited to intakes, case management, client follow up, case closures, meeting/workshop/conference planning and preparation and communications in accordance to mission and policies of the agency.

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- Degree in human/social services field from accredited university required.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Strong desire to work in the human service field.
- Ability to clearly communicate mission and purpose of initiatives and services to clients.
- Knowledge of community services and public relations desired.
- Integrity, honesty and professionalism, with desire to be a team player.

Human Services Response Institute (HSRI), a division of Family and Youth, was formed in 2005 to recognize and address emerging needs and concerns in the Southwest Louisiana community. Since its formation, HSRI has worked on behalf of children & families, as well as businesses & industries, affected by the changing environment. HSRI’s organized system enables it to proactively address emerging human needs and improve the area’s quality of life, identifying and responding to community challenges brought about by growth and change.

This is a grant funded, full-time, entry-level position. Full time employees are eligible for benefits including paid sick and vacation leave, health insurance, retirement, etc.

Pay: From $30,000.00 per year
