Job Overview:
PLTO is a joint venture of two companies: Alternate Concepts, Inc (ACI) and CAF USA, Inc. (CAF). ACI is an industry leader in mass transit operations and maintenance and is the O&M provider for the only two Design-Build-Operate-and-Maintain (DBOM)/Design-Build-Finance-Operate-and-Maintain (DBFOM) transit projects in the U.S: Tren Urbano in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Eagle P3 in Denver, Colorado. CAF USA, Inc. (a division of the international Spanish railway manufacturer Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) designs, manufactures, maintains, and supplies equipment and components for railway systems and is a certified rail maintenance organization with a presence on five continents.

PLTO is conducting this recruitment for a **Warehouse Supervisor** which has been identified as a key position that is needed as PLTO builds the organizational capacity to perform its 30-year O&M scope. The Purple Line fleet includes twenty-eight (28) Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs). The **Warehouse Supervisor **will be responsible for supervise, coordinate and expedite supply and inventory of materials and parts for all necessary maintenance functions, in accordance with PLTO standards and requirements. The position of **Warehouse Supervisor **will continue from the current pre-operational phase of the Purple Line project into the 30-year O&M Period and will be part of the permanent PLTO organization.

**Responsibilities**

During the pre-operational phase of the project, the **Warehouse Supervisor**, as part of the O&M Team, will be immediately responsible for setting up the warehouse and developing policies for receiving and storing parts. The Warehouse Supervisor will establish the overall Warehouse Department work plan and procedures for the O&M Period and work on various issues required to mobilize for the O&M Period. Likely responsibilities prior to the start of the O&M Period include:

- Define company procedures, forms, and policies.
- Hire and train staff.
- Implement systems and controls for inventory management.
- Establish standard operating procedures for warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage the implementation of the asset management software (EAM) within the warehouse environment.
- Code material physically and in ERP System (Trapeze EAM)
- Organize the Warehouse by type of material (repair, maintenance, or asset)

During the O&M Period, the essential duties and responsibilities of the **Warehouse Supervisor** will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Ensure all Warehouse Coordinators are following company defined procedures, forms, and policies.
- Review work schedules and related information and confer with managers to determine material requirements, identify overdue materials, and track materials.
- Examine material delivered to production departments to verify physical conditions at moment of receipt.
- Compute amount of material required to complete job orders.
- Compile and maintain manual or computerized records such as material inventory and status and location of materials.
- Coordinate shipments of external repairs and/or testing as required by departments for items to be sent to outside vendors for routine repairs, special projects, and emergencies based on company requirements.
- Supervise movements of material under warranty claim and ensure proper paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
- Track incoming chemicals to ensure they are on the approved lists with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on file: communicate with Chief Safety Officer on discrepancies. Maintain MSDS files.
- Ensure that materials, equipment, and assets are correctly handled and coded in ERP System (Trapeze EAM), physical locations are correct, and paperwork is utilized correctly by employees.
- Maintain accurate records for internal and external rebuilds.
- Enforce cycle count process. Ensure that cycle counting is performed according to a schedule.
- Monitor and control movement of material and parts. Maintain acceptable levels of year-end accuracy indicators.
- Ensure personnel are properly equipped with approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Train, provide work direction, and coordinate schedules/activities for personnel; assist Warehouse personnel in resolving employee requests.
- Enforce compliance with administrative, safety, and training policies, procedures, rules, and governmental regulations.
- Coordinate the calibration of tools as needed. Adhere to the calibration schedule and notify employees of tools requiring calibration in the Warehouse; follow up with employees to ensure open tools needing calibration are delivered to the Warehouse; duly notify when tools are available; and coordinate the proper disposal of damaged or broken tools as received from users while updating the EAM software accordingly.
