**Job Title**:Process Improvement Lead - ISO and CMMI Certified

**Location**: Hybrid model. **Primarily** remote and onsite in **Downtown DC** as required

The Process Improvement Lead is responsible for the management and improvement of business processes, including identifying, planning, and implementing key projects to improve analyzing systems and advising on how to better them, and otherwise improving upon business efficacy and cost. Outcomes are expected to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase productivity resulting in increased business improvements and customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Provide expert knowledge and lead in Process Improvement Principles according to ISO, **ITIL,** and CMMI standards.

2. **Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of existing policies and** make recommendations to update existing processes and policies, where needed.

**3. Expert-level experience in the development, drafting, and reviewing of policies related to the initiatives of federal agencies.**

**4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather input and feedback on policy development.**

5. Establish effective communications and collaborations across various business units and program teams.

6. Lead Process Improvement team members as required and provide mentorship in ISO and CMMI best practices.

7. Ensure all project documentation is up to date and meets ISO, ITIL, and CMMI standards.

**8. Experience leading an organization to achieve at least a CMMI Level 3 certification.**

9. Monitor project performance and determine improvement areas by developing key performance indicators.

10. Implement corrective actions when necessary.

11. Act as the key liaison and primary point of contact for all Process Improvement-related matters.

12. Work closely with other departments and program teams to guarantee smooth project execution and foster an environment of continuous improvement.

13. Identify and document business and gap analysis for workflow.

14. Develop and implement business improvement strategies.

15. Coordinate and manage key process improvement/change projects.

16. Facilitate business process re-engineering within and across the agency as required.

17. Communicate to the business and stakeholders on projects and initiatives.

18. Make recommendations for change, involving process redesign and business case development.

19. Prepare and present annual process review documents.

**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Management, or relevant field. Master’s degree required.

2. Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, ISO 27001, ISO 20000, ISO 9001, CMMI or equivalent are mandatory.

a. Note for recruiter: CMMI is a process model and ISO 9001 is an audit standard.

**3. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in policy writing, analysis, and implementation, preferably in the healthcare or research sector.**

4. Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a consulting agency setting.

6. Proven experience as a PMO lead or a similar leadership role in an IT project management setting.

7. Extensive understanding of project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools.

8. Strong leadership and team management abilities.

9. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.

10. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

11. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Application Instruction

Pay: $140,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
