Sondel Family Veterinary Clinic (SFVC) West is searching for a collaborative individual to join our fun-loving team of veterinary professionals at a growing practice on the west side of Madison, Wisconsin.

The Client Care Specialists (CCS) are the first point of contact at SFVC and should be friendly, resourceful, and organized. These individuals work under the supervision of the Practice Manager and must communicate effectively with team members as well as clients and other pet professionals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greeting & welcoming clients in a timely, friendly manner.
- Answering incoming phone calls; manage a multi-line telephone system.
- Place outgoing phone calls in a timely manner.
- Triage phone calls to staff members and/or leave a message for a doctor, CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician), or manager as needed using own discretion.
- Follow written protocols and schedule appointments.
- Obtain & process payments.
- Account for closing the books at the end of the day including counting the cash drawer.
- Sell over-the-counter merchandise. Learn knowledge of products.
- Light cleaning duties of the lobby area.
- Attending monthly staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Customer service experience (required).
- Basic computer skills (required - being comfortable navigating computers and learning new software is necessary for this position).
- Experience working in a veterinary or pet-care setting (preferred).
- Experience working in an office environment (preferred).

We are currently looking to fill a part-time position with the potential to become full-time at our WEST clinic (1848 Waldorf Blvd). Full-time employees are eligible for benefits. Benefits offered to full-time employees at SFVC include health and dental insurance, disability insurance, 401k, paid-time-off and holiday pay, as well as an annual uniform allowance.

Pay starts at $17.00 per hour with flexibility based on experience & level of education. There is room for growth and advancement with the company.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
