We own a Semi Truck and Trailer Diesel mechanic shop and parts distributorship specializing but not limited to Cummins and Volvo parts distribution. **We are seeking a parts manager to organize and control Truck parts used by our service department. **MUST be an organized and self motivated individual. Will be involved with parts cataloging, ordering, distributing and anything else needed to assist the service department manager to complete the shops goals by providing quality service.

**Salary**:$46,800 to 67,600 (Full-time). Depending on Experience.

**Minimum Experience Required (may consider if does not meet criteria)**:

- Management or supervisory role. 2 years +
- Parts Sales. 2 years + (semi truck parts sales preferred).
- Service Technician. 2 years + (preferred but not required)
- Specialized in Semi Truck parts (preferred but not required)

**Education**:

- High school or equivalent (required)
- College Associates or better (preferred but not required)

**Location**:

- Villa Park, IL

**License**:

- Driver's License (required)
- CDL (preferred but not required

**Special Skills**:

- Computer and Telephone work,
- Operate forklift and parts truck. (preferred but not required)

**Full Job Description**:
**Responsibilities will include but not limited to**:

- Manage Inventory. **THIS IS KEY**:

- Park number and vendor research.
- Parts ordering for “stock” plan regular stock orders.
- Answer telephone dealing directly with vendors and customers.
- Confirm Parts processing and update the inventory system.
- Pull parts for shop and shipping purposes.
- Maintain Physical Order of Parts Warehouse and Truck Warehouses.
- Stock in parts and bin and catalog/barcode them properly.
- Assist in locating parts.
- Verifying part numbers.
- Tracking the return of parts and manage warranty returns.
- Take lead with Physical Inventory (Minimum Annual).
- Adjust inventory levels as needed.
- Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department
- Maintain inventory consistent with the requirements of the various departments.
- Create pricing guidelines for customer categories.
- Monitor and adjusts inventory.
- Guarantee all parts are properly tagged.
- Supervise stock order procedures.
- Provides technical assistance when necessary.
- Develop and enforce guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Enforce safety requirements.
- Maintain a professional appearance.

- Review and monitor management reports and initiate actions where necessary,
- Conduct and perform interface with accounting department.

**Special Notes about Purchasing**:

- Purchase items from vendors/sources,
- Approve vendor invoices for payment,
- Coordinate purchasing data with vendors,
- Obtain pricing data from vendors,
- Resolve invoice errors/discrepancies with vendors.

**Management and Supervision (as we grow)**:

- Monitor and enforce company dress codes,
- Counsel employees,
- Interview potential employees,
- Process requests for hire/termination and payroll/salary change requests establish work schedules,
- Monitor and approve vacation/time off schedules,
- Monitor workmen’s compensation program actions,
- Establish and maintain employee record files,
- Manage the inventory control program,
- Supervise work,
- Prepare performance evaluations.

**Must be able to**:

- Bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, push and pull.
- Able to reach in all directions
- Walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Able to lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 60 lbs
- Other physical requirements as needed.
- Ability to read and write.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment.
- Proficient in computer operations.
- Total proficiency in all tasks and functions of parts management and personnel supervision.
- Fully capable of conducting effective training programs.
- Show up to work every day and on time
