**Fire Suppression Technician**

**Location**: Al-Udeid Air Base, Qatar

Compensation: $124,000

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Complete effective and efficient inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, programming and upkeep of the fire suppression systems in accordance with UFC and NFPA standards.
- Shall perform a one-time initial inspection, inventory and testing of all fire suppression systems and provide initial status report within 14 calendar days of FOC.
- Shall inspect, maintain, repair, certify and re-certify all “ANSUL” fire suppression systems base wide according to the requirements contained in UFC 3-601-02, paragraph 2-2.15, and NFPA Standard 17A, Chapter 7.
- Shall coordinate the maintenance and repair of all fire suppression systems with the on site customer per the performance work statement.
- Shall prepare and submit written reports after the completion of all inspections, maintenance, repairs, tests, and certifications of each system and implement a preventative maintenance plan using automated base systems.
- Shall provide quarterly training in fire suppression systems to Air Force personnel.
- Shall request parts through government established processes, follow up on parts, receive parts and install.
- Responsible for following a comprehensive quality and safety program in compliance with Vectrus, OSHA and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements.
- Responsible for following a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
- Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
- Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**

**Education/Certifications**
- Must have one of the four qualifications listed:

- Factory trained and certified for the following fire suppression systems: TycoFire Fire Ex UK, Ansul,
- Certified by a nationally recognized fire system certification organization.
- Registered, licensed or certified by a state or local authority.
- Employed and qualified by an organization listed by a nationally recognized testing laboratory for the servicing of fire suppression systems.
- Must have a current, valid U. S. Passport and Driver’s License.
- Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.
- Must pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing and background checks.

**Experience**:

- Shall be a maintenance journeyman or master technician in Fire Suppression with at least five years of experience in the inspection, testing and maintenance of fire suppression systems.
- Shall be proficient in the Unified Facilities Criteria and National Fire Alarm Code.

**Skills**:

- Must be proficient with Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
- Fluent in English with good verbal, reading, and writing skills.
- Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
