**Exercise Physiologist Per Diem Days Position Summary**

The Exercise Physiologist plans, delivers and evaluates patient care to designated participants in the Cardiopulmonary Rehab program under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Manager and/or Director. The Exercise Physiologist works with team members to improve customer satisfaction and maximize results within the department and functions as a team leader and facilitator providing communications with other health team members in the Cardiopulmonary Rehab department, as well as, performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

**THE EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST PER DIEM DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.**

**EDUCATION**

**Minimum**: Bachelor’s Degree of Exercise Science. ACSM Exercise Test Technologist or ACSM Clinical Exercise Specialist within one year of hire.

**Preferred**:Master’s degree in Exercise Science

**EXPERIENCE**

1-2 years in Adult Exercise Physiology or strong Cardiopulmonary Internship.

**REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION**

Bachelors in Exercise Science and Health& Motion

American Heart Association BLS Certification

ACLS within 6 months of hire

**OTHER QUALIFICATIONS**

Basic Computer Skills

ECG monitoring
