Mailroom Runner

**THE JOB**:
It is the primary responsibility of the Mailroom Runner to deliver mail to on-property departments and prepare mail for external shipment.

**THE STARTING RATE**: $19.00

**THE DAY-TO-DAY**:

- Must be proficient on the computer, as the Records Retentions aspect of it relies heavily on using the PC to input data
- Give work direction to less experienced clerk
- Drive administrative services vehicle to properties delivering mail and packages
- Process incoming and outgoing packages for delivery
- Operate mailroom equipment
- Answer telephones while in the office and direct calls to appropriate areas and staff
- Assist Supervisors with daily tasks
- Must be able to lift 40lbs

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- High School diploma or equivalent

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**:

- Ability to manage a multi-line phone system and communicate well with guests and staff Working knowledge of mailroom equipment and sign equipment
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

**WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS**:

- Monday through Friday - 8am-4pm and/or 9am-5pm.
