At Wayland Middle School, we pride ourselves on our collaborative, and inventive science department. We have a solid teacher-created curriculum and a team of dedicated educators who are always curious about new ideas and approaches to support and challenging our students. Position Description:
**Responsibilities**:
- Teach 5 science sections of physical science (physics and chemistry)
- Co-lead a daily homeroom and a weekly TAG (advisory) group.
- Collaborate with colleagues in weekly PLC and cluster meetings.
- Participate in monthly department meetings.
- Build strong connections with families and foster a sense of community in the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification/license in Massachusetts (Math/Science or Science 5-8)
- Experience teaching at the middle school level is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Dedication to building relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
