Claims Technician

**Claims Technician**

**Responsibilities - **This position handles predominantly first and third party auto physical damage losses as well as some General Liability cases within our multi-line claim department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Investigate coverage, liability and damages for all assigned claims
- Provide Exceptional service to our members and their business partners
- Work with external vendors to ensure performance is up to department standards
- Ability to work independently and manage a back-log of claims through final resolution

**Skills/knowledge** - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) required, along with the ability to handle, in a professional manner, claimants who may be upset or impatient. Must be able to maintain credibility with clients and develop a strong, ongoing business relationship with assigned clients. Ability to follow a task through to a timely completion is mandatory. The ability to operate a personal computer, calculator, fax, copy machine, and telephone is essential.

**Experience/education** - Minimum of one to two years in handling property and casualty claims preferred. College degree or equivalent work experience considered.
