**Prep & Pastry - Gilbert is looking for a Kitchen Manager to join our team in Gilbert, AZ.**

**Position Overview**:
Prep & Pastry is a part of the Ares Collective Concepts. The brand was created over 10 years ago. We are passionate about hospitality, serving beautiful (and delicious) food, and being the best at what we do. We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our kitchen team. Prep & Pastry is a vibrant and innovative restaurant committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences. We pride ourselves on our from-scratch kitchen philosophy, where every dish is crafted with passion and attention to detail.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Menu Development**: Create innovative and seasonally inspired menus that reflect the restaurant's culinary philosophy and showcase fresh, high-quality ingredients. Continuously refine and update menus to keep offerings exciting and on-trend.
- **Food Preparation**: Lead by example in the kitchen, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Ensure that all dishes meet our standards of quality, flavor, and consistency.
- **Kitchen Operations**: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and maintaining kitchen equipment. Implement efficient workflows and procedures to maximize productivity while minimizing waste.
- **Staff Management**: Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, creativity, and professionalism. Provide ongoing guidance and feedback to ensure that all team members perform at their best and adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
- **Quality Control**: Monitor all aspects of food production to maintain the highest standards of quality, freshness, and flavor. Conduct regular inspections and tastings to ensure that dishes meet our specifications and exceed guest expectations.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with front-of-house staff, including servers and managers, to coordinate menu offerings, accommodate special requests, and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute special events, promotions, and culinary initiatives.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 1 year of kitchen management experience. Must be able to manage and lead a team of 5-6 people.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards for quality.
- Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment, leading by example, and drive team members to achieve success and maintain high standards for quality.
- Experience in high volume restaurant preferred.
- Breakfast/Brunch experience preferred.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
