Childcare Teacher

**SCHEDULE**
- Monday-Friday
- No Weekends
- No Nights

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Be responsible for the supervision of the class, following all safety guidelines and procedures as set forth in the Illinois DCFS regulations, policy manual, and staff handbook.
- Provide students’ families with regular communication regarding general classroom activities.
- Demonstrate the ability to contribute to each child's physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- At least 60 semester (90 quarter) hours of credits from an accredited college with 6 semester (9 quarter) hours in courses related directly to child care and/ or child development, from birth to age six;
- **or** one year (1560 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed child care center and 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of credit from an accredited college or university with 6 semester (9 quarter) hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development from birth to age six;
- **or** completion of a credentialing program (CDA)
