Deployment Specialist

The Deployment Specialist is responsible for the initial setup, testing, and documentation of IT/AV equipment for both service tickets and new store openings (NSO). The Deployment Specialist role is a full-time office position. The role is largely project-based, so the Deployment Specialist is required to have excellent time management skills and organizational abilities.

**Basic Functions**:

- Initial setup of POS systems including file servers, terminals, printers, etc.
- Initial setup of network systems (switches, firewalls, access points)
- Coordination with internal stakeholders for the timely completion of projects.
- Conduct pre-deployment assessments to ensure readiness, including equipment, software, and network infrastructure requirements.
- Install, configure, and test hardware and software components as per deployment plans and client specifications.
- Provide technical support during the deployment phase, troubleshoot issues, and address any challenges that arise.
- Support of disaster recovery solutions prior to site opening and for 30 days after in coordination with the implementation engineer.
- Documentation of initial configuration in our CRM.
- Conduct post-deployment evaluation to ensure successful implementation and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

**Additional Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Communicate and work within a team
- Work with supervisor and internal stakeholders to ensure that deadlines are not only accurate but being met
- Escalate service or project issues that require engineer level support.
- Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues during deployment.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to deployment processes.
- Work through project tickets and phases as assigned by a Project Manager.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks to meet project timelines.
- Limited travel based on project needs.

- Interpersonal skills: such as, communication skills, and active listening
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
- Understanding of basic networking principles - LAN/WAN
- Understanding of Windows Operating System at a basic level.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.

**Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations**:

- 3+ years of experience in a technical support or implementation role
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of operating systems, networks, and databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
